This weekend just gone saw two major races in the calendar, the Hume and Hovell Ultras as well as the rather wonderful Great Ocean Walk 100.
Beginning with the Hume and Hovell and some cracking performances across all the major events. In the miler, Melissa Robertson took out the win, just weeks after running the Great North Walk 100 miler. While in the mens race, Andrew McConnell took out the title.
In the 100km event, first port of call is to highlight the outstanding performance of Brendan Davies who won the men’s event in a new course record. And it was only just under a week prior to that, that Brendan won the Sri Chinmoy 105kms in a new course record time too. Thats some pretty outstanding running going on there – give me some of his porridge please!
In the ladies 100km event, Florentine Cadwallen took out the line honours. While in the 50km event, Dominique Ferguson won the ladies, while Reece Evans won the mens.
