While April Fool’s Day is known for joking around and playing pranks, it was also the day I decided to launch the Ultra168 Supporters Club back in 2015. As we move towards year three of the club, this is my annual call-out to let people know about the membership and some of the great deals we have on offer.
Launching with just a handful of races and gear providers, the premise is that in joining the club, you gain exclusive access to discounts on popular races and gear in Australia and New Zealand. From just a few sign-ups, we now have hundreds of members based around the world from as far afield as the UK, Asia and of course the bulk of the membership sitting in Australia and New Zealand.
Since the club started, we’ve grown from just eight races to well over 30. Some of those races include the Buffalo Stampede, The Surf Coast Century, The Blackall 100, The Gold Coast 100, The Hounslow Classic, Northburn 100, The Hillary Ultra and many more. We also have even more deals off gear and other running-related things such as the RunNation Film Festival and training resources such as Mark Green’s ‘Locker Room‘. Most of these are discounts arranged because of the great relationship Ultra168 has with many of the race directors and running stores across Australia and New Zealand and that you won’t get anywhere else.
When you join the club, there are a number of options available to you, including:
- ‘ALL IN’ gives you access to all of the discounts on offer
- ‘RACES’ gives you access to all of the race discounts and ‘GEAR’ as it says on the tin, is access to the gear discounts.
Within each of the tiers, you can also choose what type of gift you’d like too. Starting with just a buff, we’ve moved into a range of options that include running shirts, kit bags and jackets too.
The membership prices start at just $39 for the year, rising up to $99 for the top-tier membership, which includes a high quality winter jacket.
