Daily News: Ultra-mad! The law; CCC from the sky

I think everyone in ultra-land has been on the funny pills of late… nevertheless, we’ve recovered in time to bring you the daily news!

  • Nick Clarke’s decision to run the *Slam Grand of Running Ultras™ ‘unofficially’ is causing a bit of a stir in the US, and now it’s gone global.
  • According to this Irish lawyer and former ultra-runner, the Grand Slam of Ultra-Running™ high honchos that be don’t have a leg to stand on. Good luck Nick!
  • Cameron Clayton and Dimitris Theodorakakos of Team Salomon has been taking on all before them in the Transalpine run that’s been taking place these last few days. Check out some awesome shots here.
  • If you still want your fix of beautiful French, Swiss or Italian Alps, check out this video of the CCC race (part of UTMB week) in the sky.
  • Finally, we hope you like the feature picture at the top. That’s the Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland, Australia. I’m racing there this weekend and a big shout out to everyone else who is too. See you up there!

*Any unauthorised use of this name will result in severe laughable action and a general pat on the back for being so idiotic. We’ll also pay Nick Clarke’s entry fee in 1c pieces.

I'm a mediocre runner who can bat above his average when I train hard. A man of extremes, I do enjoy everything life offers and consider it an absolute pleasure just to be able to put one foot in front of the other and let my mind wander somewhere different.
