We had a nice little surprise this morning after the usual Tuesday hills session with Vizey today. As I logged onto my computer, Jason Barker of thelongerrun.com had very kindly made Ultra168 his website of the month – so many thanks to him for his very kind words and also his contributions too on the website.
We’re all really excited as to the direction and potential for Ultra168, and with the big ultra season in full swing, there’s so much to talk about and discuss as ultra and trail running continue on its upward curve here in Australia. We think things will only get bigger here in Australia over the coming years and races like the big 100km and 100 milers here are going to see some serious up-take we feel as more and more people turn to the trails and leave the bitumen behind. Not that we don’t like the road as such, we just think the bush is nicer 🙂
Anyway, enough self-gloating and adulation, there’s serious training and work to be done –Â as a famous coastie once said “It ain’t gonna run itself.”
Thanks once again to everyone for their support, it’s going to be a busy six weeks as all of Ultra168 get our heads down for a beasting of a last six weeks training before the big dance on November 12th at 6am, when we line up for the hurt locker at Teralba for 175kms of brutal bliss.
Good job – one of the few websites where all the (tad self indulgent) posts read well.
