So the news on the ground up in beautiful Queensland is as follows:
– Dave Waugh in the lead and has just left the loops at 8 after 60-odd kms and a few minutes ahead of Mike le Roux
– Dave Eadie is about 5-6 mins behind Mike, with Dave Coombs in hot pursuit
– Mal Gamble is in fifth
– Zac Braxton Smith is sixth, with spud suspected to be seventh, just finishing the first loop at 8 with our Running Mad Kiwi friend, Gordi
Pam Muston is leading the ladies (not sure of overall position), with Oli Zambon leading the 100km sprint.
