Hardrock 100 preview

After the ‘track meet’ at Western States a few weeks ago, attention in the US now turns to the ‘mountain men’ and the Hardrock 100 miler. After Barkley, this one is pretty much regarded at the hardest 100 miler around, given the huge climbs and descents.

The US’ best source of trail running goodness, irunfar.com has a wealth of interviews with some of the leading contenders at this year’s race. Dakota Jones is the red-hot favourite in many people’s books, having lived and trained up there for the last 6 weeks we believe. Our favourite Brit, Nick Clark is backing up after his superb Western States podium, and will be on the start line for this one too. How the hell he’s going to get on is anyone’s guess. one thing’s for sure, is that an athlete of Nick’s calibre is surely to be a contender.

We’ve listed a load of links below to all the interviews Bryon has completed, and thank him for bringing us show great interviews with the big guns:

Dakota Jones and Matt Hart

Karl Meltzer

Nick Clark

Julien Chorier

Joe Grant

Nerea Martinez

Darcy Africa

I'm a mediocre runner who can bat above his average when I train hard. A man of extremes, I do enjoy everything life offers and consider it an absolute pleasure just to be able to put one foot in front of the other and let my mind wander somewhere different.
