Western States update #6: Tight at the top #ws100

So it’s still all to play for as the leading guys come through the 89 mile mark at Brown’s Bar. Kilian has a 3 minute lead over Mike Wolfe, who’s moved ahead of Nick Clark (come on Nick!), with Jez Bragg yet to reach the CP according to the updates. I don’t know too much about Mike, but it looks like he could challenge Kilian hard, which is a good thing if these guys are serious about trying to crack a new course record.

It’s going to be tough, they have 1hr 13mins to smash out 11 miles. I can’t see them doing it to be honest, but you never know if Kilian has something in reserve or not.
