Western States 100 Result: Kilian WINS! #ws100

After a cracking race, which saw some detours for the leading pack, some major guys dropping and a very tight finish, Kilian Jornet, the man from Catalan has undone the mistakes of last year to come through for a magnificent win in this year’s Western States 100. Kilian wins in a time of 15:34, the third quickest time in history. Picture here and here in the medical tent. And another with his winner’s medal.

It was a close finish with Mike Wolfe just a few minutes behind him and making ground in the final few miles. Mike finished in a time of 15:38, picture here. (credit: irunfar).

UPDATE: Nick Clark finishes in 15:50 for a massively well-deserved third place, and Jez Bragg making it a UK one-two in the top five with a brilliant fourth place.
